Brain Injury Waikato provides a variety of events and meetings including support groups, education and information sessions, workshops that are free for the community. 

Brain Injury Support group meetings

Support Groups will Commence in February 2025

We invite all people living with a brain injury, their family/whanau and carers to join us.

Support groups can provide a sense of belonging, make social connections, and share ideas, learn and deepen understanding for recovery and ask questions. It is a safe place to share, listen and give and get support surrounded by people who understand or are walking a similar path.

Our regular support groups are:

Information Sessions/workshops

Brain Injury Waikato provides monthly information and education sessions covering a variety of topics relevant to brain injury recovery. These sessions are provided by community providers, community organisations, health care providers. These sessions are free of charge and open to everyone to attend.
